Costco no longer limits the number of products for purchase

Consumers can now buy as many units of toilet paper as they want.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, with the outbreaks of panic buying, some supermarkets, convenience stores and retail stores had started to limit the number of products that consumers could buy, to ensure that the limited stock of products they had could also be available for other consumers.

One of the companies that adopted this system was Costco, which limited the purchase of toilet paper and other essential products, but now that is changing.

Recently, the Reddit ALFdude user shared a sign that said there is no limit to the number of bulk toilet paper packages you can buy.

Costco is vague about the products that are released for unlimited purchase. The sign is above the paper roll packs of the Bounty, Nature 2 Way and Kirkland brands, but there is no information on the limits of these bulk packs.

On Costco’s website, there are no updates on the subject. On the company’s COVID-19 page, the company writes: “Costco has implemented limits on certain items to help ensure more members are able to purchase merchandise they want and need. Our buyers and suppliers are working hard to provide essential, high demand merchandise as well as everyday favorites.”
