Kimberly-Clark Professional™ announces finalists for the Golden Service Awards 2024
Hugh Dennis will lead the ceremony recognizing excellence and commitment in the cleaning and facility management industry
The shortlist for the prestigious Kimberly-Clark Professional™ Golden Service Awards 2024, considered the ‘Oscars’ of the cleaning and Facility Management (FM) industry, has been revealed. The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) independently conducted the first phase of judging, selecting 57 finalists from 28 companies, marking a significant 30 percent increase in entries this year.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Hugh Dennis, renowned British comedian, actor and writer, will emcee the event, joined on stage by Craig Bowman, managing director for the UK and Ireland. Bowman thanked the sponsors, including Kärcher, Nationwide, Bunzl Cleaning and Hygiene Supplies, Soap20, BioVate Hygiene and EcoBreeze, for their valuable support.
Neil Spencer-Cook, BICSc Group MD said: “The increase in applicants was great to see and the standard of entries very good. The focus on sustainability, teamwork and staff wellbeing were key factors in the entries. The rise in strong entries in the diversity and inclusion category shows that the industry is ahead of the curve in this area”.
Finalists will advance to the next phase of evaluation, which includes site visits by BICSc judges. During December and January, innovation, staff training and customer relations will be evaluated in most categories.
