In addition, WHO indicates that washing your hands correctly can reduce the chances of contracting a respiratory disease by 24% and by more than 45% the chances of contracting a stomach virus.

After this first step, it is recommended to continue with the following steps:

  1. Make a correct separation of raw and cooked foods: that’s because foods like meat, chicken and fish contain liquids that may be contaminated with dangerous microorganisms.
  2. Have a complete cooking of food: since this process is essential to eliminate bacteria.
  3. Keeping food at safe temperatures is another crucial factor: microorganisms can multiply quickly if food is kept at room temperature.
  4. Use safe raw materials and water – These items may contain harmful chemicals, so care should be taken when selecting raw products.
