WEKO showcases precision application technologies at MIAC 2025
Company highlights solutions for the paper industry at booth A21 in Lucca, from October 8 to 10
From October 8 to 10, the city of Lucca, Italy, will once again host MIAC, one of the leading international events dedicated to the paper and board production and converting chain. The trade fair brings together companies, experts, and professionals from different countries in a space focused on knowledge exchange and the presentation of new technologies. In this context, WEKO sees the event as a strategic opportunity to strengthen its global presence, showcase solutions to the market, and listen closely to the demands of the sector. The company will be present at booth A21.
TECHNOLOGIES IN FOCUS
At the event, the company will highlight systems developed to increase the efficiency of liquid and powder application in paper production lines. Among them is the contactless spray rotor method, which combines precision with reduced waste and automatically adjusts the applied amount according to machine speed.
Another central highlight of the participation will be the WEKO-DigiCon unit, which combines remoisturizing and silicone application in a single process. The equipment directly addresses effects that compromise material quality, such as paper curl, waviness, electrostatic buildup, and smearing after digital printing.
The company will also emphasize the possibility of testing at the WEKO Technology Center, where customers can submit paper samples and formulations for simulations under controlled conditions, obtaining technical data to support decision-making.
DEMONSTRATIONS AND INTERACTION WITH VISITORS
During the three days of MIAC, WEKO invites visitors to learn about its technologies through live demonstrations at booth A21. The initiative also includes the possibility of bringing paper materials or formulations for testing, which can be carried out on-site or later at the company’s technology center.
According to the company, the goal is to demonstrate how applying small amounts of liquids with precision can lead to significant improvements in paper finishing, while also contributing to reduced operating costs.
VISION AND INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Participation in MIAC also reinforces WEKO’s institutional message. The company emphasizes its commitment to solutions that combine sustainability, efficiency, and innovation, developing technologies that reduce inputs and maximize results. With headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries in several countries, including Brazil, the company strengthens its international presence and its close support to customers in different markets.
