Navigator anticipates the goal of carbon neutrality by 15 years

Navigator, one of the largest pulp and paper manufacturers in Portugal, participated in “Vision 2045”, held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, simultaneously with the 27th United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP 27. On the occasion, the company shared its vision and efforts to contribute to a better world.
Committed to a more sustainable future, Navigator became the first Portuguese company to anticipate the carbon neutrality of its industrial complexes to 2035, 15 years ahead of national and international targets.

During the event, the company participated in the panel “Fostering Sustainable Ecosystems”, and spoke about its 2030 Agenda, a strategic plan in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which reflects on its approach to responsible management of the business in which it operates. based on the entire operation of the company.
“Climate and nature risks are strongly interconnected and, therefore, efforts to contribute to a circular and low-carbon bioeconomy will have an effect on the preservation of nature and will support broader actions for sustainable development”, concluded the executive.
