Charmin highlights the importance of toilet paper quality in relationships
Survey reveals that 1 in 5 people have stopped dating someone because of poor quality toilet paper
In a recent survey, Charmin revealed that the type of toilet paper used can directly influence romantic relationships. According to the study, 1 in 5 people know someone who has abandoned a love interest because of the quality of the toilet paper. With Valentine’s Day approaching, the brand is betting on Charmin Ultra Soft Smooth Tear to help keep relationships lasting and avoid “abandonment” in the bathroom.
The study showed that 57% of respondents judge a partner based on the cleanliness of the bathroom and the type of toilet paper used. In addition, almost 60% of Americans said that they consider their partner’s toilet paper to be an important factor in the continuity of a relationship. The survey also revealed that consumers are twice as likely to continue dating someone who uses higher quality toilet paper.
“After uncovering that quality toilet paper can be a dating dealbreaker with nearly 60% of Americans judging a love interest based on the toilet paper they use, we knew we had an opportunity to help out,” said Rob Reinerman, Charmin Vice President, Procter & Gamble. “We want to offer everyone a more enjoyable go and are excited about the role Charmin Ultra Soft Smooth Tear can play!”
The survey also revealed that 41% of respondents consider flimsy toilet paper to be one of the biggest “problems” in the bathroom. To reinforce the importance of the topic, Charmin enlisted the help of reality TV star Brittany Cartwright, who shared her opinions on how superior toilet paper can be a green flag in a relationship.
“There’s a lot I look for in a date, and believe it or not, superior toilet paper, like Charmin, is a major green flag, showing me that even the smallest details have been considered”, said Cartwright
