CMPC encourages innovative solutions with the startup ecosystem
Through CMPC Ventures, the Chilean group intends to stimulate the development of disruptive and sustainable solutions at home and abroad

The future is for sustainable solutions. With this vision, CMPC launched a channel for entrepreneurs in the innovation ecosystem to present startups that develop products or services in line with the most current ESG practices. Entitled CMPC Ventures, this vector of the company aims to stimulate sustainable business growth both inside and outside the company.
Currently, the CMPC Group has 48 industrial sites in Latin America, all of which can benefit from improvements that combine innovation and sustainability. In Brazil, the initial focus is to optimize and modernize the transport of pulp and wood, which is currently carried out by waterways and land. The Guaíba plant is primarily selecting startups from Brazil to jointly assist in the development of bold and transformative strategies for the organization’s logistics sector.
“This is a very important moment for CMPC. We want to get closer to startups, as they were born in an ecosystem based on innovation and will be able to accompany us on this journey of evolution and transformation, with the aim of improving processes that will reflect on the rational use of resources and collaborate even more with the preservation of the environment,” says Mauricio Harger, general director of CMPC in Brazil. “We want to get closer to this universe that thinks about modernization in a broad way, contemplating a large company like ours, without losing the focus and importance of the details of each process”, completes the executive.
