Conserving Beauty bets on innovation and sustainability with compostable packaging
Skincare brand launches dissolvable cleansing wipes in eco-friendly packaging, in line with advanced environmental practices
Conserving Beauty, an australian skincare brand, has broken new ground by launching its dissolvable makeup remover wipes and face masks with eco-friendly packaging. Since its founding in November 2021, the company has made a name for itself globally, receiving nine industry awards in places such as Australia, the United Kingdom and the U.S.. Its commitment to reducing the water, carbon and waste footprint in the beauty sector is driven by technological innovations and intensive conservation research.
The brand’s dissolvable makeup remover wipes are formulated with vegetable oils and vitamins, offering gentle and effective cleansing, even for sensitive skin. In addition, the company is dedicated to sustainability, continually measuring the environmental footprint of its products in order to minimize their impact on the environment.
Conserving Beauty has taken another important step on its sustainable journey by adopting Econic compostable packaging, supplied by Convex. This high-performance packaging includes Futamura’s NatureFlex film, which is made from renewable wood pulp and meets the strictest industrial and domestic composting standards. As well as being compostable, the material offers an excellent barrier against aromas, gases and humidity, preserving the quality of the products until they are finally used by the consumer.
Natassia Grace, founder and CEO of Conserving Beauty, highlights the importance of this packaging solution for the company: “I’m very happy to have found this packaging solution for our wet wipes and face masks. It was very important to me that the packaging matched the credibility of my brand. Product efficacy and sustainability initiatives remain very high on Conserving Beauty’s priority and R&D investments.”
Grace, internationally recognized for her leadership in sustainable innovation, was named to the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in 2024 and has received other top awards in the beauty sector.
For his part, Tamaki Kaga, regional sales manager at Futamura, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Conserving Beauty: “We are delighted that our NatureFlex film has been chosen to be part of this solution for Conserving Beauty. Conventional structures for this type of product would have used combinations of plastics and foils, making them non-recyclable. Our renewable and compostable films are a good choice for this type of application, allowing for a valid end-of-life option.”
With this partnership, Conserving Beauty and its suppliers reaffirm the importance of sustainable innovation in transforming the personal care industry, presenting an effective and environmentally responsible option for consumers.
