EPIQ presents robotic solution to improve safety and efficiency in kraft bale dewiring

With proven technology and over 98% wire removal efficiency, the K2K system enhances production and simplifies recycling processes

EPIQ, a leading provider of automated solutions for the pulp and paper industry, introduced its K2K Robotic Dewiring System, designed to safely and efficiently remove wires from kraft bales. This advanced solution automates a previously hazardous manual task, enhancing both operational safety and productivity.

The K2K system features a multi-axis, floor-mounted robot that performs the wire removal and deposits the wires directly into a large baler, facilitating compaction and easy recycling. With over 98% efficiency in wire recovery and 99% equipment uptime, the system stands out for its reliability and performance.

Among its key advantages, the system reduces the risk of metal contamination during processing, requires minimal maintenance thanks to its durable mechanical design, and can be operated remotely via mobile devices. EPIQ technicians are available for support both remotely and on-site.

The solution is adaptable to different facility layouts and can be installed as a complete system or integrated into existing equipment. Proven through three generations of tested technology, the K2K system reflects EPIQ’s commitment to safety, consistency, and innovation in bale dewiring.
