Huggies® and Walgreens partner for eighth year to combat diaper need in the U.S.

Through September 30, 2024, each purchase of Huggies® diapers at Walgreens will result in a donation to the National Diaper Bank Network, aiding families struggling to provide essential care for their children

For the eighth consecutive year, Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies® brand and Walgreens have partnered to raise awareness about diaper need in the United States, assisting families struggling to provide adequate diapers for their children. According to recent figures, one in two families in the U.S. faces challenges in accessing enough diapers to ensure their child’s skin remains clean, dry, and healthy.

Through September 30, 2024, Huggies® and Walgreens are encouraging individuals nationwide to contribute to this cause. For every pack of Huggies® diapers purchased at Walgreens stores or online at Walgreens.com during this period, the brand will donate a day’s worth of diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network, with a maximum donation of up to one million diapers. Since the inception of this initiative in 2011, Huggies® and the National Diaper Bank Network have provided more than 200 million diapers to families in need as part of their Project Hug initiative.

“Diapers are a basic necessity for every baby and toddler”, said Anjula Shokar, senior brand manager for the U.S. Huggies® brand. “The National Diaper Bank Network is making a significant difference in the lives of families, and through this partnership with Walgreens, we aim to raise awareness and encourage people to support families in need”.

Alethia Jackson, senior vice president of ESG and chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance, echoed this sentiment: “Walgreens is proud to collaborate with Huggies for the eighth year in a row to raise awareness and improve access to diapers within our communities. Supporting the health of the communities we serve across America is integral to our mission of creating more joyful lives through better health”.
