Ontex announces the sale of its Turkish subsidiary to Dilek Grup

Ontex Group NV, a global leader in the development and production of personal care solutions, has formalized a binding agreement for the sale of its Turkish operation to Dilek Grup. The agreement covers not only Ontex’s business in Turkey, but also its related export business, as well as its factory located in Istanbul.

Ontex’s Turkish subsidiary has a leading position in the personal care products market, offering a wide range of branded items, with leadership in Turkey and neighboring countries. The operation generated approximately 90 million euros in sales in 2024. The subsidiary was part of Ontex’s emerging markets division, now classified as a discontinued operation.

Dilek Grup, a consolidated distributor of fast-moving consumer goods in Turkey and neighboring nations, has been expanding its business into personal care production, an area in which it intends to further increase its market share.

With this transaction, Ontex is moving forward with the completion of its strategic restructuring, which focuses on strengthening its retail and healthcare brands in Europe and North America. The transaction is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2025, subject to the approval of the Turkish competition authority.
