P&G reports net income of US$ 3.47 billion in fiscal second quarter

The multinational personal hygiene products company Procter & Gamble (P&G) reported a net profit of US$ 3.47 billion in the second fiscal quarter, representing a decrease of 12% compared to the previous year. Revenues reached US$ 21.4 billion between October and December, showing a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
“We delivered solid results in the fiscal second quarter, allowing us to raise our annual profit projection and maintain revenue estimates,” CEO Jon Moeller said in a statement.
Owner of brands such as Pampers, Always and Charmin, the company highlighted 4% growth in organic sales, driven by a 4% increase in pricing. However, the company’s volumes experienced a 1% decline for the year.
P&G reiterated its goal of increasing sales by 2% to 4% in the current fiscal year.
