Sofidel USA collaborates with CHUM and Goodwill to donate hygiene products in Duluth

Partnership strengthens community support and benefits vulnerable families

Sofidel USA announced a partnership with CHUM (Churches United in Ministry) and Goodwill to help the Duluth community, in Minnesota. The initiative made it possible to donate personal hygiene items, benefiting families and individuals in vulnerable situations.

The action began with the shipment of eight pallets of toilet paper, hard wound towels and kitchen towels from Sofidel’s facility in Circleville, Ohio, to the Duluth plant. Understanding the need for these products in the community, Sofidel contacted CHUM to offer the donation. However, due to the large volume of products, the organization identified logistical challenges for storage and distribution.

To make this possible, CHUM contacted Goodwill, which provided storage space and organized the transport of Sofidel’s load from Circleville to the warehouse. After storage, Goodwill will ensure the distribution of the products to different CHUM programs, such as the St. Francis Apartments, the Drop-In Center and the emergency shelter for families and individuals.

“We are incredibly grateful to Sofidel, CHUM, and Goodwill for their collaboration in helping us provide essential hygiene products to those who need them most,” said Tim Solomon, a key member of the loading team at Sofidel. “It was a true team effort, and we are honored to have played a part in supporting our local community.”

The partnership reflects the positive impact of cooperation between companies and community organizations to meet the needs of vulnerable populations. Sofidel reinforces its commitment to local initiatives and highlights the importance of collaborations like this to promote significant changes in the community.
