Tork launches Focus4 Sustainability platform in North America to drive sustainable business hygiene
Essity’s global professional hygiene brand introduces a comprehensive tool to promote sustainable practices and enhance business performance
Tork, an Essity brand and a global leader in professional hygiene, has launched the Tork Focus4 Sustainability platform in North America. The initiative aims to help businesses benefit from sustainable hygiene practices in restrooms by providing information, tools, and training to support decisions that reduce environmental impact while improving business outcomes.
Sustainability increasingly shapes where people choose to work and spend their money. Recent data show that 84% of people would avoid brands or companies with poor environmental practices, and 65% say a company’s green reputation influences their job search. Moreover, 62% of consumers actively seek sustainable products, and 67% wish public restroom managers considered environmental factors in their operations.
As part of Essity, one of the world’s most sustainable companies, Tork understands the strong link between sustainable hygiene and business performance. “Sustainability is a complex challenge, but it can help improve business results,” said Jill Trider, Customer Marketing Sustainability Manager at Essity Professional Hygiene. “Restrooms offer an accessible starting point for companies looking to reduce their environmental footprint.”
The Tork Focus4 Sustainability platform takes a circular approach, structured around four key areas: materials and packaging, use and waste, carbon, and hygiene for everyone. It provides educational resources, comparison tools, and free interactive learning modules to enhance sustainability knowledge.
This initiative is part of Tork’s broader commitment to helping businesses create value through sustainable hygiene solutions. Many Tork products feature reduced packaging or cardboard cores to cut waste, compressed formats to optimize transport efficiency, and carbon neutral dispensers produced with certified renewable electricity and ClimatePartner-verified climate credits.
