Kruger expands educational support with new scholarship program
Initiative benefits employees’ children with US$500,000 investment
In the spring of 2024, Kruger implemented an annual post-secondary scholarship program for the children of its employees. Named the Joseph Kruger II Scholarship Program in honor the company’s Chairman and CEO, the project aims to encourage the education and academic development of new generations. Beneficiaries are selected by lottery from eligible applications from all areas of the company.
The program’s debut exceeded expectations, with more than 350 applications registered. In response to the large number of applications, the company increased the number of scholarships from 40 to 100, guaranteeing each student a grant of US$5,000, for a total of US$500,000 distributed in this inaugural edition.
With this initiative, Kruger reaffirms its commitment to the educational growth and well-being of its employees, strengthening the benefits offered to their families and promoting learning opportunities.
