Discover Gambini’s rewinder for premium tissue paper products

All the components of every Gambini tissue converting line are designed to achieve the best possible results. The most important innovations were made at the embossing phase, with the TouchMax, the most flexible embosser on the market, and with the AirMill. With the last one, the company introduced wet embossing, which reduces paper degradation through a system that first moistens and then heats it, thus preserving the strength of the starting base paper as far as possible.

In recent years, Gambini has seen the need to equip the converting lines with a rewinder that could equal the previous components, one able to preserve the work done on the paper at each previous stage of the process, mainly the embossing.

The G1 rewinder is capable of guaranteeing the perfect winding of the paper around the log from the first to the last sheet, due to the opening system of the two winding rolls, top and bottom (which also makes it easy to feed a new core into the machine). G1 achieves 700 m/min and 60 logs/min, ensuring log stability and homogeneity, thanks to its three-roll technology.

 

Another great innovation is the log transfer, which doesn’t require the vacuum system. The change from one log to the next is accomplished by a paper-breaking device inside the top winding roll, which reduces the log tail to less than 75 mm. This results in higher quality logs and a reduced need for maintenance and spare parts.

In addition to these features, the G1 is fully HMI controllable and the number of parameters to be set by the operator has been considerably reduced: the machine is actually capable of self-adjusting most of its settings.

These innovations preserve the extremely high-quality results achieved during the previous tissue converting stages (unwinding and embossing). This is why the complete G1 line, which includes the namesake rewinder, is the Gambini line for premium products.
