Essity appoints Anand Chandarana as new President of Health & Medical Business Unit
Executive to take office in September with the mission to drive growth and innovation in brands such as TENA and JOBST
Essity has named Anand Chandarana as the next President of its Health & Medical Business Unit, a role he will assume on September 1, 2025. The executive will also join the company’s global management team, reporting directly to President and CEO Ulrika Kolsrud.
With more than two decades of experience in the healthcare sector, Chandarana joined Essity in 2020 and has since held strategic positions in the division’s commercial area. Previously, he spent 17 years at Mölnlycke Health Care, where he held various leadership roles in sales, marketing, and business development.
According to Ulrika Kolsrud, the appointment reflects the executive’s combination of technical expertise and market vision. “With his broad experience from sales, marketing, innovation and M&A and his strong track record of enabling an organization to accomplish commercial success, Anand is the right person to lead the business unit into its next phase of profitable growth”, she said.
Of British and Swedish nationality, Chandarana will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Essity’s Health & Medical division includes leading brands such as TENA, Leukoplast, Cutimed, Hydrofera BLUE, JOBST, Delta-Cast, and Actimove, offering solutions for incontinence in healthcare, wound care, compression therapy, and orthopedics.A
