The acquisition makes Anchor Packaging a wholly owned subsidiary, expanding production capacity and reinforcing the foodservice supply chain

Georgia-Pacific and TJC, LP have completed the previously announced acquisition of Anchor Packaging by Georgia-Pacific. Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

As a result of the transaction, Georgia-Pacific acquired the entire equity of Anchor Packaging held by the company’s investors, including TJC (formerly The Jordan Company), a New York-based private equity firm that had been the company’s primary investor since 2019. Anchor Packaging is a leading manufacturer of rigid food containers and plastic wrap for foodservice, retail, and processing channels.

The acquisition includes Anchor Packaging’s four manufacturing plants in Jonesboro, Marmaduke, and Paragould, Arkansas, and Janesville, Wisconsin, as well as its headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. With approximately 1,250 employees, Anchor Packaging and its facilities become a wholly owned subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific.

Fernando González, President of Georgia-Pacific’s Foodservice Solutions division, stated that the company is “very excited to welcome the talented employees of Anchor Packaging,” emphasizing that their quality assets, efficient operations, and excellent customer service provide “an outstanding platform for continued business growth.”

Meanwhile, Jeff Wolff, President and CEO of Anchor Packaging, added that they are “thrilled to join Georgia-Pacific and begin a new chapter of innovation, growth, and value creation for our customers.” He noted that the partnership will allow them to offer a broader product range, unique strengths, and a stronger supply chain, driven by an accelerated innovation approach. According to Wolff, their joint goal is “to shape the future of food packaging with passion, purpose, and high performance.”
