Georgia-Pacific hosts the American Forest & Paper Association for a tour of its recycled paper plant
Highlighting its commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation
Members of the American Forest & Paper Association were welcomed by the Georgia-Pacific LLC team at the Savannah River Mill for a special tour of their recycled paper operation. With five of the largest tissue machines in the world at their facility, they pride themselves on their focus on using recycled fiber to manufacture essential products for their customers.
During the visit, Marc Forman of GP RECYCLING LLC shared the company’s recycling story, highlighting the positive impacts of using recycled paper in the manufacturing process and how they manage waste paper inputs to meet customer specifications. In addition, the company’s wildlife habitat conservation initiatives on over 1,000 acres were showcased.
