Georgia-Pacific to acquire Anchor Packaging in strategic expansion
Deal strengthens food-to-go packaging portfolio, complementing Dixie business and boosting innovation capacity

Georgia-Pacific and an affiliate of TJC, L.P. announced an agreement for Georgia-Pacific to acquire Anchor Packaging, a leading manufacturer of rigid food containers and cling film serving the food service, retail, and processor sectors. Anchor Packaging, based in St. Louis, Missouri, operates facilities in Arkansas and Wisconsin and has been part of TJC’s portfolio since 2019.
The acquisition, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, is expected to close later this year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Anchor Packaging will be a significant addition to Georgia-Pacific’s consumer products platform with capabilities that will especially complement our Dixie business,” said David Duncan, executive vice president of Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products Group.
Anchor Packaging’s CEO Jeff Wolff highlighted the growth potential of the deal: “We are excited to join Georgia-Pacific and embark on a new chapter of growth and innovation.
