GP PRO receives Innovation of the Year honoree at ISSA Show 2024

GP PRO, the Georgia-Pacific division specializing in advanced dispensing solutions for commercial facilities, was awarded the Innovation of the Year Award in the Hygiene category at the ISSA Show North America 2024. The award was presented for the launch of ECON Mode, a new feature of the enMotion® paper towel dispenser that extends the device’s battery life for up to five years.

The ECON Mode allows the dispenser to automatically enter a hibernation state, called “hang mode”, after a defined period of inactivity. During this mode, a paper towel remains visibly hanging from the dispenser, while battery usage is paused until the user pulls the towel. This mechanism helps extend the battery life, which can last up to five years, enabling the production of up to 110 towel rolls.

This feature is now the default setting in the new enMotion dispensers, providing greater operational efficiency and cost savings. In addition to minimizing battery replacement frequency, ECON Mode helps reduce waste and energy consumption, aligning with the company’s sustainability goals.

The ISSA Innovation Leaders Award recognizes the most innovative products and solutions in the cleaning industry, based on the evaluation of a panel of independent judges. The GP PRO Compact Quad® Plus towel dispenser was named Innovation of the Year at the ISSA Show 2023.
