The international personal care company Ontex has received an “A” rating from the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) for its 2024 Climate Change disclosure and an “A-” rating from CDP Forests, highlighting its transparency on forestry issues.
The top score for climate action recognizes Ontex’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions, use renewable energy responsibly and manage forests and fibers sustainably. The improved score for forestry reflects the company’s commitment to reporting its environmental impacts and managing risks related to deforestation.
In response to increased regulations, Ontex has updated its ESG strategy with more ambitious targets in the “planet” pillar, including reducing carbon emissions, expanding the use of recyclable materials and partnerships to boost circularity.
Annick De Poorter, Director of Innovation and Sustainability, said: “We are honored to receive this improved “A” rating from CDP, especially in a year of more stringent and complex reporting requirements.”
