Pull-Ups introduces interactive app with Disney Jr. to turn potty training into a fun and engaging experience

New free app combines technology, data, and beloved characters to support parents and children through the potty training transition

Pull-Ups, Kimberly-Clark’s brand dedicated to the potty training phase, has launched an innovative solution in the U.S. market: a free app that merges parental support tools with interactive experiences for kids. Called “Potty with Pull-Ups ft. Disney Jr.”, the app features characters from the iconic Mickey Mouse franchise, including the upcoming series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+.”

Unlike platforms that offer only tips or standalone games, the app combines personalized progress-tracking tools with incentive-based milestone mechanics, using gamification and familiar characters to keep kids engaged.

The new resource draws on more than 35 years of Pull-Ups expertise in potty training. The goal is to make the process less stressful and more collaborative for both caregivers and children. In early testing, 80% of parents said they believe the app would help motivate their children to use the potty.

TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTING FAMILY ROUTINES

The app includes a set of features designed to support the potty training journey, such as a readiness quiz, a customizable plan with seven adaptable milestones, event logging for accidents and attempts, and reminder notifications to reinforce daily practice. A built-in algorithm analyzes data to offer tailored guidance and content to help manage setbacks when they occur.

CHILD ENGAGEMENT THROUGH REWARDS AND MUSIC

For kids, the highlight is a visually rewarding, gamified experience: with every milestone reached, they unlock new instruments and characters, allowing them to build their own “band” led by Mickey or Minnie. The journey concludes with a celebratory in-app concert featuring a customized version of Disney Jr.’s “Let’s Play!” song, created to mark the achievement.

PROMOTIONAL ACTIVATION WITH DISNEY EXPERIENCE

As part of the launch campaign, Pull-Ups is offering a special giveaway. Parents who download and log into the app between May 15 and May 21, 2025, will be entered for a chance to win a trip to the Passport to Confidence event, taking place at the Disneyland Hotel on June 23. The celebration will feature Disney character appearances, family-friendly activities, and experiences designed to boost kids’ confidence. Winners will be announced on May 22 via the brand’s Instagram page.
