Resolute Forest Products’ Wins Sustainability Leadership and Initiative of the Year Awards
The company stood out for taking bold steps to combat climate change and for managing resources with the highest respect
This week, the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) honored Resolute Forest Products in its 2021 Sustainability Awards program, an annual award that honors those who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice. Resolute received the Sustainability Leadership and Sustainability Initiative of the Year awards.
The judging panel noted by targeting a 30% reduction in our direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 2025, we are once again demonstrating carbon leadership and differentiating the company as the environmental supplier of choice within the forest products industry. In this way, Resolute was praised for taking bold action to combat climate change and for managing the resources in their care with the highest respect.
BIG’s unique and proprietary scoring system selectively measures performance across multiple business domains and then rewards companies whose achievements stand above those of their peers.
