Resolute’s commitments in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Resolute shares the UN’s vision for a more inclusive, peaceful and sustainable future
The United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global call to action to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. Defined in the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the SDGs recognize that ending poverty goes hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
Resolute shares the UN’s vision for a more inclusive, peaceful and sustainable future. In 2021, it committed to integrating the SDGs into its sustainability reporting strategy. The company identified eight SDGs aligned with its sustainability commitments:
- Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
- Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
- Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- Goal 13: Climate Action
- Goal 15: Life on Land
- Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Resolute uses GRI-based sustainability metrics to track its commitments, and have aligned these with 18 of the corresponding SDG targets. The company carefully monitor progress and revise targets on an annual basis, inclusive of both short- and long-term sustainability objectives. It also provide transparent annual sustainability reporting.
“Our commitment to the SDGs is aligned with our ongoing efforts to be an environmental supplier of choice, an attractive employer, an engaged and collaborative member of our operating communities, and a more efficient and competitive organization”, declares the company.
