Sofidel expands sustainability credentials with FSC® certification across Papernet® line

Company strengthens commitment to responsible sourcing and eco-friendly hygiene solutions

Sofidel, one of the world’s leading producers of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use, announced that its entire Papernet® portfolio has obtained Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification, reinforcing its position as a global reference in sustainable tissue production. The achievement guarantees that every product in the line comes from responsibly managed forests and meets stringent social, environmental, and economic standards.

According to Tahnie Gilliland, Marketing Specialist at Sofidel, the certification reflects a broader strategy to align hygiene solutions with sustainability demands. “At Sofidel, we are committed to providing sustainable hygiene solutions that meet the highest environmental and customer standards. Achieving the FSC® certification for all of our Papernet® products demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing restroom solutions that prioritize both hygiene and environmental responsibility”, she said.

The FSC® seal is one of the most respected global benchmarks for responsible forestry. To qualify, companies must undergo comprehensive audits that cover both supply chains and production processes, ensuring compliance with strict sustainability and ethical guidelines.

Sofidel has consistently invested in initiatives that balance performance with environmental responsibility. By extending FSC® certification to the Papernet® range, the group advances its sustainability roadmap and strengthens its role in providing restroom solutions that combine hygiene, innovation, and ecological responsibility.
