Suzano signs an agreement with Cosco to build five ships to transport pulp
In addition to building the vessels, the contract includes the long-term transport of the commodity

Suzano, the largest producer of eucalyptus pulp in the world, signed an agreement with Cosco, a Chinese company that provides transport and logistics services, for the construction of five vessels to transport pulp and other bio-based products. The negotiation also includes a long-term commodity transport contract.
With China as one of its main markets, the company closed the agreement during a trade meeting held by the Brazilian mission in the country.
The information was given to journalists who accompanied the event with businessmen from both countries, in a document delivered by the Brazilian mission.
In addition, the company also signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Paper Company “for collaboration on bio- and carbon-based materials and investments in research and development,” according to the document.
Values of the agreements or other details were not disclosed.
