TENA launches updated Sensitive Care™ pads in the U.S. with a focus on skin care

With Aloe, Vitamin E, and a 5-in-1 formula, Essity’s new generation of pads offers up to 100% comfort and protection against irritation

Essity, a global hygiene and health company and the name behind TENA, the leading brand in incontinence care, has announced the launch in the United States of its most skin-focused solution to date. The new TENA Sensitive Care™ Pads line has been enhanced with Aloe and Vitamin E, combined with the 5-in-1 SkinComfort™ formula, developed to ensure up to 100% comfort and protection against irritation.

Among the highlights, TENA Sensitive Care™ Overnight, the version with the highest absorbency, features a 20% drier surface and provides up to 100% leak protection, offering safety and comfort even during extended use.

According to the company, the launch reflects TENA’s mission to support women with solutions that combine performance, comfort, and skin respect. The new products use breathable, soft, and safe materials, transforming daily use into an experience of care and confidence.

In consumer testing, nine out of ten women reported that the new pads are gentle, keep the skin dry, and offer superior leak protection, said Hazel Villarreal, Marketing Director for TENA North America.

“It’s a clear sign that we are on the right path, creating solutions that deliver performance and comfort. This is our most skin-caring product to date, designed to nurture intimate skin,” emphasized the executive.

The technology combines five key benefits, with improvements based directly on consumer feedback:

  • Breathability: allows air circulation, keeping skin fresh and healthy.
  • Security: locks in liquid and helps prevent leaks.
  • Dryness: the Dry Fast Core™ quickly absorbs moisture away from the skin.
  • Softness: gentle materials help prevent irritation.
  • Odor control: neutralizes unwanted odors for a long-lasting feeling of freshness.

 

In addition to the enhanced formula, the products feature a flexible and soft barrier that moves with the body and reduces friction, as well as an infusion of Aloe and Vitamin E, which help nourish and protect the skin.

Dermatologically approved by the Skin Health Alliance, the new TENA Sensitive Care™ Pads are available in different absorbency levels, addressing everything from light cases to high-protection and overnight needs.

The product is already available at major retailers, supermarkets, pharmacies, and on TENA’s official website in the United States.

The brand has also announced the “Ditch the itch and switch to TENA” campaign, set to debut in mid-September, reinforcing the message that intimate skin care should be a priority, even when managing incontinence.
