What do you look for in your Bottom and Split Bottom Anvils?

Due to their 70+ year history and vast experience, Kinetic can recommend the proper Tool Steel material that is best suited for your company’s cutting application

Kinetics’ Bottom & Split Bottom Anvils are American made in their Greendale, WI facility, which is near Milwaukee, WI. These products are manufactured to order for various industries ranging from tissue, paper, foils, steel, plastics and wood.

Due to their 70+ year history and vast experience, Kinetic can recommend the proper Tool Steel material that is best suited for your company’s cutting application. Their in-house Heat Treating allows them to best monitor and adhere to the necessary quench and temper times achieving maximum transformation. This results in maximum wearability and performance when used in application.

Proper racking and fixturing is also used to help cut down on any movement or distortion that may put undo stresses into the material and/or increase finishing times after the Heat Treat process.

Kinetics’ Midwest Sales Territory Manager, Dan Zinser, currently has customers who are using various types of split bands in their converting operations:

“A standard band needs the machine to come apart to remove the roll. Our split bands can be removed in minutes and replaced in minutes. Imagine replacing the split bands in less than an hour or taking apart a machine that can take 4-6 hours. Time is one thing, but cost savings is what makes the difference! We can show you ways to save money and keep production moving!”

Dan has been with Kinetic for 2 years as the Midwest Territory Sales Manager and he is grateful to be in the industry of manufacturing. “My start was in the Aerospace Industry as a machinist over 33 years ago. The last 27 years have been attributed to working hands on with the creation, processing and testing of the various cutting needs in this industry,” he commented.
