Georgia-Pacific raises over US$12,000 for childhood cancer research
GP PRO hosts event to support the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research
Georgia-Pacific (GP), through its GP PRO division, raised over US$12,000 to support the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, aiming to fund research on childhood cancer. The amount was raised during the first Rally 5K Fun Run/Walk, co-organized by Eric Jungslager and Chris Nakos, both National Vice Presidents at the company.
The event, held recently, was marked by a tribute to Caroline Belcher, a Rally child who lost her battle with cancer. “[Caroline] made such an impact on all of us at GP, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor her memory than by hosting a 5K Fun Run/Walk to support Rally kids everywhere”, declared Jungslager. The occasion also featured the presence of Emily Belcher, Caroline’s mother, to celebrate her memory during the company’s National Business Meeting.
