Kimberly-Clark expands board of directors with new leadership

Joseph Romanelli, President of Human Health International at MSD, joins Kimberly-Clark’s board, bringing expertise in global leadership and scientific innovation

Kimberly-Clark announced yesterday the appointment of Joseph Romanelli, President of Human Health International at Merck & Co., Inc., to its board of directors, effective immediately. With this appointment, the company’s board increases from 12 to 13 members.

“Joe Romanelli is an outstanding addition to the Kimberly-Clark Board of Directors”, said Mike Hsu, Chairman and CEO of Kimberly-Clark. “As we advance our Powering Care strategy, we will benefit from Joe’s global leadership experience and his expertise in using leading-edge science to save and improve lives around the world”.

Mr. Romanelli took on the role of President of Human Health International at MSD in 2022, where he oversees more than 75 markets outside the United States and leads a team of 14,000 employees. Previously, he served as CEO of JiXing Pharmaceuticals, a China-based biopharmaceutical company, and held various strategic and operational roles with increasing responsibility over 25 years at MSD and Schering-Plough.
