Procter & Gamble, through its Always brand, donates one million pads to Feeding América

The company strengthens its social commitment this holiday season by expanding access to essential menstrual hygiene products for women, girls, and families in vulnerable communities across the United States

Procter & Gamble (P&G), through its leading menstrual hygiene brand Always, announced the donation of one million menstrual pads to Feeding America®, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization. This initiative aims to expand access to menstrual hygiene products for women and girls who face significant barriers to obtaining these essential items, particularly through Feeding America’s network of family and community organizations.

During the holiday season, many families experience additional pressure to meet their daily needs. Limited access to menstrual hygiene products can intensify this burden, impacting health, well-being, and confidence. With this donation, Always reinforces its mission to support communities, providing more people with dignity, peace of mind, and access to essential resources.

“For more than 40 years, Always has supported generations of girls and women, championing their confidence and well-being,” said Balaka Niyazee, Senior Vice President of North America Feminine Care at Procter & Gamble. She noted that, in a context where one in five girls in the U.S. has missed school or left early due to lack of menstrual products, ensuring access is crucial to removing educational barriers.

Always has donated tens of millions of menstrual products across the United States as part of its ongoing commitment to education, dignity, and equity. This year’s holiday donation, distributed through Feeding America’s network, will reach households nationwide, including communities with limited access to these essential products.

Lauren Biedron, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Feeding America, expressed gratitude for the initiative and highlighted that “at a time when many families face difficult choices, such as balancing food and essential items, long-standing partners like Always help expand access to resources that support overall health and well-being.”

The collaboration between Always and Feeding America has been in place since 2018, providing menstrual hygiene products through food banks and pantries across the country. This collective effort continues to strengthen communities in need of consistent support for basic food and hygiene necessities.
