Sofidel earns top score in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment
The company was once again recognized in the 2025 SEA Leaderboard for its supplier engagement strategies aimed at advancing climate action and emissions reductions across its value chain
Sofidel, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tissue paper for hygienic and household use and owner of the Regina brand, achieved an “A” rating in the 2025 CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), conducted by the global non-profit organization focused on environmental disclosure and corporate sustainability performance.
As a result of this achievement, the company has once again been included in CDP’s SEA Leaderboard, which recognizes organizations for the effectiveness of their strategies to engage suppliers in addressing climate change and reducing emissions throughout the supply chain.
The assessment evaluates five key areas: risk management processes, corporate governance and strategy, supplier engagement on environmental issues, Scope 3 emissions reporting and verification, and emissions reduction targets. According to the company, collaboration with suppliers is a core component of its sustainability strategy and plays a critical role in achieving its goal of net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050, in line with its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
In 2025, CDP assessed more than 22,100 companies worldwide. Sofidel noted that the recognition carries special significance as the company celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
