Female power in practice: INCAPE qualifies women for the industrial sector

In March, INCAPE celebrated the graduation of the third class of Women Papermakers, a project that has been transforming lives and creating new opportunities in the industrial sector

On March 22, INCAPE celebrated the graduation of the third class of Women Papermakers, a project that has been transforming lives and creating new opportunities in the industrial sector. The initiative, which is part of the company’s ESG commitments, is based on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 and 10, which reinforce gender equality and the reduction of inequalities.

The graduation was a moment of celebration not only for the new graduates, but for the entire INCAPE team, which believes in the power of qualification as a tool for social transformation. In addition to Jéssica and Fabiane, Ivone, Juliane, Márcia, Shirlei, Silmara and Taciana also graduated, all now prepared to work in different sectors of industry.

QUALIFICATION FOR THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR

With three technical modules – Boiler, Forklift and Rewinder – the course has now certified more than 30 women, providing quality training and opening doors to the job market. The dedication of the participants was the highlight of this edition, with three consecutive weeks of immersion and learning.

“I left with a lot of knowledge and happy to know that there is a company that believes in the strength of women in the industrial sector. Here, I’m reinforcing my conviction that a woman’s place is wherever she wants to be,” said Jéssica.

A COMMITMENT THAT GOES BEYOND INCAPE

The Women Papermakers project is not just a course: it is an initiative that boosts careers and broadens horizons. “Our aim is to provide knowledge and create possibilities not only within INCAPE, but also for the entire industrial sector,” explains Joleide Maus, the company’s administrative manager.

Training women in technical roles that were previously predominantly male is an essential step towards promoting more diversity and inclusion. “We’re happy to see that some graduates have already joined our workforce, reinforcing the message that there is room for those who seek knowledge and dedicate themselves,” she adds.

INCAPE continues to invest in the professional development of women and strengthen its commitment to gender equality. “The presence of women in the industry is growing and we want to continue to be a solid foundation for this transformation,” says Joseidy Gomes de Oliveira, the company’s managing director. “Our role is to guarantee a safe, respectful and welcoming working environment for everyone. Today, we are celebrating yet another achievement towards a more equal future,” she added.

The Women Papermakers project continues to expand. The next class is scheduled for June 2025, and registration will open soon. If you want to train and gain new opportunities in the industrial sector, stay tuned and follow INCAPE’s official channels for more details.

“Together, we continue to build a fairer, more inclusive market full of possibilities,” concludes INCAPE.
