INCAPE qualifies maculature application in the tissue industry

Training on Maculature Application was held at Suzano’s new unit in Aracruz, Espírito Santo

INCAPE reaffirms its commitment to excellence and innovation in the tissue market by promoting the “Maculature Application” training, an initiative that enhances the technical support offered to its customers. Held at Suzano’s new unit in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, the training was conducted by INCAPE Papéis Especiais’ Quality Manager, Rogério Bernardino, the company’s application technician, Gilmar Silva, and Key Account Manager, Marcelo Plínio da Silva, covering the physical-mechanical properties of maculature, its behavior in conversion and how to ensure maximum efficiency in the production process.

TRAINING THAT TURNS EFFICIENCY INTO RESULTS

During five hours of technical immersion, participants were able to understand how external factors, such as storage and handling, directly influence paper performance. The training focused on preventing and solving variations related to porosity, cob and humidity, ensuring greater stability in tube formation and conversion.

“Efficiency and cutting are directly related to correct handling and storage. INCAPE works with high-standard special papers, but we understand that product quality needs to be aligned with technical knowledge to optimize conversion. That’s how we developed this training, an intensive program that generates operational and financial efficiency for our customers,” says Thiago Karam Westphalen, INCAPE’s CEO.

The executive also points out that the same training, applied to another client recently, led to tube production jumping from 2.7 million a month to 4.5 million a month – in just four months – a significant increase, proving that the raw material supplied by INCAPE guarantees high productivity and yield on the converting lines.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AT THE SERVICE OF PERFORMANCE

“Maculature has a strict quality standard at INCAPE, but it is essential that the customer understands its behavior to extract maximum efficiency. Issues such as variations in the paper are often linked to the storage environment or the converting process. Training comes precisely to reduce these external interferences and guarantee the best possible performance,” explains Rogério Bernardino, Quality Manager at INCAPE Papéis Especiais.

With a focus on maximum application performance, the training showed that simple adjustments in operation can reduce maculature variations by up to 80%, bringing direct gains in production stability, waste reduction and production line optimization.

INCAPE’S COMMITMENT TO EFFICIENCY AND INNOVATION

“This training is a game changer for the sector, sharing with those at the forefront of production work how operational adjustments make all the difference. Our mission is to offer technical knowledge so that our customers have more predictability, quality and efficiency in production,” says Gilmar Silva, INCAPE’s application technician.

INCAPE continues to invest in developing solutions for its customers, reinforcing its role as a reference in innovation and technical support in the tissue market.
