International Paper releases 2023 Sustainability Report highlighting progress towards Vision 2030

Company's latest report underscores its commitment to sustainable practices and transparent disclosures in pursuit of a better future

International Paper recently unveiled its 2023 Sustainability Report, showcasing strides made towards achieving its Vision 2030 objectives and reaffirming its dedication to fostering a sustainable future for society, the environment, and the company itself.

For over a century, International Paper has been a stalwart advocate for the responsible management of natural resources. In line with its commitment to driving positive change, the company continues to pursue its Vision 2030 goals and targets, aiming to deliver sustainable outcomes across its operations.

Sophie Beckham, vice president and chief sustainability officer at International Paper, emphasized the company’s dedication to its sustainability framework, stating: “Guided by Vision 2030, our sustainability framework, IP has continuously worked alongside customers and strategic partners to become a leader in renewable fiber-based solutions and to help facilitate a low carbon, circular economy”.

International Paper’s commitment to transparency is evident in its reporting practices. The company provided disclosures in accordance with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and responded comprehensively to the Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CDP) Climate Change, Forest, and Water Security questionnaires. These efforts aim to transparently communicate both risks and opportunities within these key areas of sustainability.
