Sofidel bets on sustainable packaging for Nicky range

The company reinforces its environmental commitment by replacing plastic with paper in its tissue products

Sofidel, owner of the Nicky tissue brand, has announced the launch of new paper packaging for two of its main products. The initiative is part of the company’s commitment to building a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for people and the environment, reducing environmental impacts and encouraging responsible consumption.

The products that will now have paper packaging are “Nicky Limón”, a two-ply, decorated, highly absorbent and resistant kitchen towel with a lemon fragrance; and “Nicky Nature”, a three-ply toilet paper made from pure cellulose and enriched with aloe vera.

The company had already been adopting measures to make its packaging more sustainable, including using a high percentage of post-consumer recycled plastic from household waste. In addition, Sofidel also invests in the supply of energy from renewable sources and uses pulp from forests managed in an environmentally responsible way, with certification from independent third parties.
