This Monday, the 21st, Klabin announced that it will increase the prices of hardwood pulp for China, Europe and the Americas. The movement takes effect from September and accompanies the price readjustment recently announced by Suzano.
“Klabin informs that it will follow the recent price increase announcements for hardwood pulp in China, as well as in Europe and the Americas”, stated the company.
According to the pulp manufacturer, the readjustment will raise the price of hardwood pulp by US$ 20 per ton for China. In Europe and the Americas, the increase will be US$ 50 per ton.
The price increase announced by Suzano last week came after company executives stated – in early August – that they were confident with regard to the implementation of the rest of the US$ 30 increase announced in June, for the Asian market.
