Event gathered 350 guests and highlighted innovative projects in the hygiene and cleaning industry

Metsä Tissue celebrated the winners of the 2025 Sustainability Awards, an event that brought together approximately 350 guests from over 100 organizations. The company’s CEO, Sari Pajari-Sederholm, emphasized the significance of the awards and praised the quality of the entries, saying that they represented an ambition, shared with Metsä Tissue, for an industry that operates responsibly “to help to create a positive, lasting impact on the environment”.
Mika Paljakka, Metsä Tissue’s SVP for the UK & Ireland, highlighted the strong interest generated by the awards, saying that he had been “overwhelmed by the interest the awards have generated” with 91 nominations for the Awards received from 46 separate organizations. He also thanked the Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA), the event’s partner, as well as the sponsors, and encouraged attendees to support the charity The Hygiene Bank.
