Sofidel is recognized in Minnesota for its economic contribution
The company receives an award for its impact on development and job creation in the state

Sofidel has been recognized with the 2024 Governor’s International Trade Award in the Foreign Direct Investment category. The award highlights foreign companies that have made significant contributions to the state’s economy through their local investments and operations.
Organized by the Minnesota Trade Office since 1985, the award recognizes companies that have demonstrated exceptional progress and success in exporting to foreign markets, as well as those foreign-owned companies that play a key role in the state economy. Sofidel, which produces tissue paper for domestic and industrial use, has invested heavily in the United States, consolidating its presence in the country and contributing to job creation and economic development.
The awards ceremony includes a special luncheon to celebrate the winners and recognize the importance of the international business community to Minnesota’s economic growth. The event also reinforces the relevance of foreign trade and foreign investment in generating jobs and innovation in the state.
