Suzano, the leading global producer of pulp, has announced a new price increase for eucalyptus fiber, effective for orders placed in June. This marked the sixth price adjustment made by the company this year.
In the European market, the price will rise by $60 per ton. This adjustment continues to elevate the reference price in Europe to its highest nominal value recorded to date. Similarly, in North America, the price will also see a $60 per ton increase.
For the Asian market, Suzano has announced a $30 per ton increase. According to Fastmarkets, the net price of short fiber pulp in the Chinese market reached $716 per ton last week. Producers were aiming for a $30 per ton increase for May, which would bring the pulp price in China to $770 per ton for June, assuming the earlier adjustment is fully implemented.
These adjustments reflect ongoing market dynamics and Suzano’s strategy to align prices with current demand and supply conditions.
