WEPA Group to acquire majority stake in French tissue producer MPH1865

WEPA Group announced its intention to acquire a majority stake in MPH1865, a French manufacturer of away-from-home hygiene paper and soap products. The planned transaction is designed to reinforce WEPA’s position in the French market and broaden its European presence within the professional hygiene sector.

According to the company, completion of the acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals, including merger control clearance.

As part of the agreement, MPH1865’s entire industrial network and workforce will be maintained, with current President Marc Miribel continuing to lead the business.

WEPA is one of Europe’s three largest hygiene paper manufacturers, operating 14 sites across the continent and employing approximately 4,300 people.
