Sofidel launches Regina Maxi Roll toilet paper in Spain
Innovative, long-lasting product promotes sustainability with recycled plastic packaging and green electricity
Sofidel Group’s leading brand, Regina, has launched one of its most outstanding products, the long-lasting toilet paper known as “Regina Maxi Rollo”, in the Spanish market
This toilet paper, known in Italy as Regina Rotoloni, has made its mark in Italian advertising with its memorable “Endless Rolls” ads. It has introduced a new product category in Nielsen, Maxi Rolls, which are characterized by having more than double or triple the number of sheets than its direct competitors. With its 500 sheets, Regina Maxi Rollo offers more than triple compared to the category average, providing significant advantages for both retailers in terms of profitability and consumers in terms of their shopping needs.
Philippe Defacqz, VP Marketing & Sales-Brand at Sofidel, said “Sofidel’s ability to innovate has been proven over the years and started with the creation of a new Nielsen product category, Maxi Rollos (Rotoloni)” and with this launch in Spain it aims to “support the category’s value growth across Europe”.
For his part, Alberto Barsanti, Marketing & Sales Director of Sofidel Spain, said “it also guarantees longer life and less frequent roll changes, as well as unique sustainability attributes, such as less packaging material and core board per kilogram of paper and more efficient transport per ton of paper”.
Sofidel’s new Regina Maxi Roll toilet paper is part of its sustainable development strategy. Its packaging is composed of 60% recycled plastic, aligned with the goal of reducing the impact of conventional plastic by 50% by 2030. In addition, it is produced using green electricity from 100% renewable sources, generated at Sofidel Spain’s production plants. To support its launch in Europe, Sofidel will invest in marketing and communication to improve product visibility and enhance brand reputation.
