Biom launches one-handed baby wipes system
The solution incorporates QuickLock™ technology, a 99% water-based formula, and a refillable design focused on convenience and sustainability
Biom, based in the United States, announced the launch of a new baby wipes system in the U.S. market, featuring a one-handed dispensing mechanism aimed at improving user experience in a category that has seen limited innovation over recent decades.
The development incorporates the patented QuickLock™ technology, a system that secures the dispenser to a changing surface and allows users to extract one wipe at a time. This solution addresses a common consumer issue related to the unintended dispensing of multiple wipes.
The wipes are made from biodegradable plant-based fibers, replacing synthetic materials such as polyester and contributing to the reduction of microplastics. The formulation, composed of 99% water, features a simplified ingredient list free from fragrances, dyes, drying alcohols, parabens, phthalates, and PFAS. The product is also dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.
The system includes a refillable dispenser with a magnetic airtight lid designed to maintain moisture and reduce single-use plastic waste. Its minimalist design aligns with modern home environments.
According to the company, this launch is part of a broader strategy to redefine the wipes category, estimated at approximately $6 billion. Biom has also expanded its portfolio into other segments, including multi-purpose and disinfecting wipes, focusing on cleaner formulations and functional design.
The starter kit, which includes the dispenser and refill packs, is available through retail channels and online platforms in the United States, expanding access to these solutions for end consumers.
