Essity named a 2026 Impact Sourcing Top Global Champion

The recognition highlights the company's inclusive procurement practices and efforts to expand opportunities for women-owned businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises

Essity has been recognized as a 2026 Impact Sourcing Top Global Champion. The award, presented by WEConnect International, recognizes organizations that use their procurement strategies to expand economic opportunities for diverse suppliers and help them compete for business contracts.

INCLUSIVE PROCUREMENT AS A BUSINESS STRATEGY

For Essity, the recognition reflects its ongoing efforts to incorporate supplier inclusion into its global value-creation strategy. By engaging a wider range of suppliers, the company aims to strengthen supply chain resilience, encourage sustainable business growth and foster innovation.

The award comes as companies seek to balance competitiveness and operational efficiency with long-term value creation amid challenging business conditions. Essity continues to integrate inclusive procurement into its broader approach to responsible business practices and sustainable growth.

PROGRESS IN SUPPLIER INCLUSION AND DEVELOPMENT

Over the past year, Essity has expanded its inclusive procurement initiatives both internally and externally. More than 160 procurement leaders have received training in inclusive leadership, while the company has increased its engagement with suppliers to support capability development.

These efforts include discussions about suppliers’ own inclusion practices and opportunities for continued improvement. According to Essity, the initiatives are intended not only to broaden participation in its supply chain but also to develop a more capable and competitive supplier base across its global operations.

“Supplier inclusion helps us build a stronger and more resilient supply chain while creating value for our business and society. This recognition reflects the progress we have made and our ambition to continue advancing inclusive procurement as part of Essity’s sustainable growth,” said Jessica Nordlinder, Vice-President Procurement at Essity.

The recognition adds to Essity’s previous international awards related to supplier inclusion. The company continues to work with partners and suppliers to expand inclusive procurement practices throughout its global operations, with the aim of combining business value creation with broader economic opportunities.
