First Quality appoints Tonny De Beer as chief product innovation officer

First Quality, a leading provider of absorbent hygiene products, announced the appointment of Tonny De Beer as the chief product innovation officer for its absorbent hygiene division. In this role, De Beer will spearhead all innovation initiatives within the division, while also overseeing its quality and regulatory functions. He will report directly to Allen Bodford, president of the absorbent hygiene division.

De Beer brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the chief product, technology, and sustainability officer at PFNonwovens Group. With over 25 years of expertise in innovation, research, and development, gained from prominent roles at global organizations such as AstraZeneca and Procter & Gamble, De Beer holds both a master’s degree and Ph.D. in chemistry from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

 

Bodford expressed confidence in De Beer’s capabilities, stating: “Tonny’s experience and leadership is a tremendous asset as First Quality continues to invest in technology and innovations that benefit both people and our planet. He will be instrumental in our sustainability efforts and our commitment to bringing the latest innovations to the North American market”.

First Quality’s absorbent hygiene division is responsible for manufacturing a range of products including adult incontinence products, diapers, training and youth pants, period pads, and baby wipes, catering to both healthcare and retail channels. The company operates across four manufacturing locations in the U.S. and Canada. Recently, First Quality announced a new round of investments in its absorbent hygiene division, aimed at expanding capacity and advancing key innovations.
