Highlights of the second day at Tissue Summit Brazil

During the first period of the conference, the participating companies presented their exclusive products and solutions, marking a dynamic and promising start to the event

After the successful conclusion of the first day, on Wednesday 6, the Tissue Summit Brazil 2024 continues to gather important players in the tissue and personal care industry at the Tivoli Mofarrej Hotel in São Paulo. With a diversified program, the conference presentations resumed, addressing the theme “Data Intelligence & Sustainability”.

Ipel, one of the largest producers of toilet paper, paper towels and napkins in the country, began the day’s program with the presentation “Digital Transformation in Practice”, by Marlon Souza, head of PMO and Technology.

On this occasion, Marlon spoke about Ipel’s technology management direction, focused on the development of processes, systems and projects (PMO). In addition, the expert took the opportunity to present the company’s new purpose, entitled “We make paper the art of promoting health”, and reinforced Ipel’s values, which will serve as the basis for creating the company’s digital transformation.

Next, Factory Pal, a technology company that promises to revolutionize manufacturing to improve performance on the factory floor by synergizing human expertise and digital intelligence, presented “Digital Transformation in the Tissue Industry: Case Studies and Data-Driven Analytics,” delivered by Filippe Dalponte, Sales Manager.

In his presentation, Filippe presented Factory Pal, a modular SaaS solution that empowers industry teams to achieve robust operations and optimized production. In addition, he addressed the challenges of operating production lines at an optimal level and the benefits that digitalization can bring to manufacturing, as well as presented customer cases and results.

Next, Italy’s Gambini, which offers complete solutions for tissue converting, presented the paper “Airmill: the only memory-based wetting and heating process for printing,” presented by Lucas Perondi, Gambini’s sales manager.

The presentation highlighted the advantages of Airmill for the conversion stage in tissue manufacturing, with its unique technology that creates a memorized pattern for the wetting and heating phases during printing. The executive also highlighted that the company is considering the Brazilian market as an area of strategic interest and presented Tissue Hub, an area of the company dedicated to product testing.

Then, Paper Converting Machine Company contributed with the presentation “Converting and packaging sustainability through Accelerate Data Service”, made by José Carlos Ávila, regional sales and service manager. On this occasion, José Carlos presented Paper Converting Machine Company, part of the BW Converting Solutions Group, and talked about the environmental approach proposed by PCMC.

Another highlight of the presentation was Paragon, a rewinder launched by the company about three years ago, whose main advantages are productivity, product quality and simplicity. He also presented solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 and presented customer case studies, among other topics.

In addition, Nikola Nikitovic, Sales Executive – Central & Latin America of STAX Technologies, also part of the BW Group, presented some of the main technologies and solutions provided by the company.

Completing the first block, Daniel Keller, market consultant of Lotus Química, specialist in chemicals for the pulp and paper industry, led the presentation “Sustainable Decisions”.

In his presentation, the executive spoke about the company’s portfolio of solutions, with emphasis on its biodegradable products, as well as the importance of investing in the organization of data to convert it into knowledge and intelligence. Daniel also detailed the path that data must follow within the company to be treated correctly and used in sustainable decision making.

In addition, it presented the new ICL (Intelligence and Control Lotus) solution, which allows precise monitoring and dosing of the company’s products, better management, anticipation and predictability.

NEW PRESENTATION AND EXHIBITION FORMAT

The second day of the Tissue Summit continues in an updated format, with a hybrid space that houses the conference and table exhibition in the same place, promoting greater comfort for attendees to view the presentations through headphones, with simultaneous translation into Portuguese and English, in the silent conference format.

In this way, participants have greater flexibility to follow all the content presented during the event and to review the solutions exhibited on table tops, in addition to facilitating networking and connection.
