Kruger Products Marks 45 Years as Title Sponsor of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts
The company reinforces its long-standing commitment to Canadian women’s curling and youth sport development
Kruger Products, a Canadian manufacturer of tissue paper products and owner of brands such as Cashmere, Purex, Scotties, SpongeTowels and Bonterra, is celebrating 45 years as the title sponsor of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada’s National Women’s Curling Championship, scheduled to take place from January 23 to February 1 in Mississauga, Ontario.
Since 1981, the company has maintained an uninterrupted partnership with the championship and with the advancement of women’s curling across Canada. This relationship is recognized as the longest-running women’s sports sponsorship in the country, and the tournament has become a national sporting tradition highlighting teamwork, perseverance and collaboration.
This year’s edition will mark a milestone as the championship is hosted for the first time in the Greater Toronto Area. Mississauga will serve as host city, with matches held at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, a venue with a history of hosting major curling competitions.
The 2026 tournament will feature several of Canada’s top women’s curling teams, including those led by Kerri Einarson (Gimli, Manitoba), Christina Black (Halifax), and Kayla Skrlik (Calgary).
Beyond the championship, Kruger Products continues to support the future of women’s curling through its sponsorship of Curling Canada’s Girls Rock program. For the second consecutive year, the initiative aims to encourage girls aged 9 to 16 to engage with the sport through inclusive, female-led experiences.
As part of the program, two Girls Rock events will be held in Mississauga on January 25, 2026, welcoming a total of 96 participants at the Chinguacousy Curling Club and the Dixie Curling Centre. Olympic curling medalist and Girls Rock ambassador Cori Morris will take part in the events.
In addition, Curling Canada reported strong interest in the newly launched Girls Rock Club Funding Opportunity, with 25 clubs selected to receive financial support and several member associations planning similar events nationwide.
The Scotties Tournament of Hearts will be broadcast nationally on TSN, where Kruger Products will also premiere a new 30-second commercial celebrating the championship’s history and impact.
