OMET fully automated converting lines have been developed to assist converters in easy and rapid change-over on the same machine, drastically decreasing machine stops. This allows converters to be very flexible and to offer their customers a wide range of products. This is the reason why Mercantile Development, Inc. (MDI) chose another OMET converting line to expand their production capability of napkins and wipers.
The OMET TV503 line is the third OMET line acquired by the company. It is not only able to process paper and non-woven materials in an easy and reliable way but also enables the automatic transfer of products to the inline wrapping machine.
“OMET has a decades-long track record of providing personalized solutions to help us meet ambitious productivity and customer satisfaction goals,” says Calla Fankhanel, Vice President of Operations at MDI. “The new OMET Americas service hub has strengthened our partnership and made the decision to add yet another OMET production line an easy one. OMET’s modular design for removable cassette folding heads provides endless possibilities for tooling combinations. That flexibility helps us meet wide-ranging customer needs in a small production footprint.”
