UPM has reached a new milestone by being the only representative of the forest and paper industry to be included in the prestigious Dow Jones Global and European Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the years 2023-2024. These indexes, which are highly valued in the financial sector, evaluate environmental, social, corporate governance and responsibility aspects.

This recognition highlights UPM’s position as a global leader in sustainability, assessed through a rigorous analysis of the performance of leading companies worldwide.
In 2023, UPM upgraded its Green Finance network, receiving the highest possible rating by S&P Global Ratings. In addition, the company joined the UN Global Compact Forward Faster Initiative, committing to measurable actions to accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment includes promoting gender equality, ensuring living wages and achieving the ambitious goal of zero emissions.
